We love families coming into the shop and really enjoy helping youngsters discover the joy of vinyl for the first time.
We've realised that understanding how vinyl records work, how to use a record player and how to look after your records isn't obvious. Records come in different sizes, they play at different speeds and there are terms such as mono and stereo and re-mastering. What do these mean? It can be confusing.
So during February half-term we hosted family workshops to share the magic of vinyl and explain the history of records and record players, how they work and how to look after them.
It was great fun and we like to think that we ignited vinyl passion in more than one young mind.
Thank you to everyone who took part and thank you for so many interesting (and some quite unexpected) questions!
