We can't wait to host our 2nd Record Store Day because last year was so much fun!

Record Store Day was created 12 years ago in the US to celebrate INDEPENDENT RECORD STORES.  This year about 250 UK record stores will be taking part.

Record Store Day was created to bring people into their local indie record stores and give them a chance of buy very limited and highly collectable records pressed in very small quantities exclusively for independent shops to sell on Record Store Day (and immediately afterwards!).  It's our own special day, a day when Amazon, HMV and the supermarkets don't get a chance of steal our thunder (and our livelihoods!).  It's a day of rare records, great music and friendship.

Like last year we won't only be stocking exclusive Record Store Day records but we will be celebrating Record Store Day with live music.

Last year we rocked Duke Street with 5 live bands playing outside the shop and this year it's going to be even BIGGER AND BETTER!

If you missed our first Record Store Day watch a video here - what a day it was!

There is nowhere better to celebrate Record Store Day than at Vinyl Revolution!

(This list will be updated during w/c 18 March with a new list edited down to only include records we have ordered - watch this space!)

Please remember that no shops are allowed to reserve records for customers (if we were caught doing it this would be our last Record Store Day) but we have made sure that we ordered the records that you want to buy.  THANK YOU  EVERYONE FOR SENDING US YOUR WISH LISTS!
